Roy Clark Photography

Originally from Liverpool, Roy started visiting the British mountains in his teens, a discovery which shaped his whole life. Initial rock-climbing and walking in North Wales and the Lake District eventually prompted a move to the Scottish Highlands, with its remoter hills and potential for winter climbing. His interest in the outdoors resulted in travels to Europe, North America and Jordan, and has ultimately led to his move, with his partner Justi Carey, to the Julian Alps of Slovenia. Together they have written and illustrated the new guidebook to the area, The Julian Alps of Slovenia.

Roy's interest in photography has developed through his passion for the outdoors. His first love is landscapes, and since moving to Slovenia he has built up a collection of images of this beautiful country in all seasons, some of which he has supplied to a UK picture library.
